The group is organized into three major operating companies serving the health care and funeral services industries. Hill-rom is a manufacturer of equipment for the health care industry and a provider of associated systems for wound, pulmonary and circulatory care. Batesville casket and forethought both serve the funeral services industry. Batesville casket is a producer of metal and hardwood burial caskets, cremation urns and caskets and marketing support services. Forethought provides funeral and cemetery professionals in 49 U.S. States, the district of columbia, and Puerto Rico with marketing support for forethought(R) funeral plans funded by life insurance policies trust products. The group acquired advanced respiratory, inc, mediq inc and navicare systems, inc in fiscal 2004.
